Ground Beef Chili con Carne Soup makes a delicious and flavorful lunch or dinner any day of the week. Using a few simple ingredients, you can transform them into a hearty and appetizing meal that the whole family can enjoy.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 - 2 lbs ground beef
  • chopped onion
  • one minced garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 28 ounce can diced tomatoes
Directions
  • Step 1 Brown the ground beef until cooked
  • Step 2 Add the chopped onions, minced garlic clove, salt, and pepper. Cover and let the ingredients simmer until the onion and garlic are softened.
  • Step 3 Add the two cups of water, chili powder, and diced tomatoes to the pot and stir thoroughly.
  • Step 4 Let it simmer until everything is heated through.
  • Step 5 As an option, sprinkle shredded cheese on top after dishing the soup into bowls.

Method:

First, brown the ground beef.  Then add the chopped onions, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.   Cover the mixture and let it simmer.

 

Once the onion and garlic are tender, add the water to the meat mixture.

Add the chili powder next.

Mix in the diced tomatoes.

Stir the soup, and then let it simmer until everything is heated through.

We sprinkled it with shredded cheese to make it even tastier.
