If you love to eat lasagna, but you're out of lasagna noodles or want a quicker version that is still tasty, this Lasagna Style Noodle Casserole might be the recipe for you. Our family loves to eat lasagna, but cooking and layering all of the lasagna noodles can be time consuming. With this Lasagna Style Noodle Casserole, you can use any type of pasta that you have at home.
Begin by cooking the ground beef, onions, and minced garlic in a pan or skillet until the ground beef is fully cooked.
Stir in the diced tomatoes and spaghetti sauce, and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes on the stove.
While everything is simmering, begin cooking any kind of pasta according to the package directions. I used ditalini pasta for this recipe, but any pasta will work.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it, and then place half of the pasta in a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish.
Then, top with half of the meat sauce.
Next, add all of the sour cream.
Follow by layering the last half of the noodles and the meat mixture.
Top the dish with all of the shredded cheese.
Bake the Lasagna Style Noodle Casserole covered at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Then, let it sit before serving.
